THE BLACK KEYS 'TIGHTEN UP' MUSIC VIDEO ANALYSIS

This task has helped with the basic of analysing a music video as it has made me more aware to what to look for when analysing music videos. After learning more about the codes and conventions of music videos I have noticed that it is slightly performance based as the band play their instruments during the scene at the kids’ playground and so this is also slightly weaved into the narrative because they are still trying to impress the woman. Medium close ups have been used to create a star image which is important for the band’s signature.
